For a second time, this October the United States Department of Energy (DOE), and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) will hold a competition for Universities to design, build, transport, and operate a fully functioning house, powered exclusively by solar energy. This competition will be hosted on the National Mall in Washington DC.
